I believe that the purpose of teaching lies in getting students to truly understand the concepts being examined. I also believe that one cannot rely solely on textbooks, but rather he/she must seek out other sources of information to aid in his/her teaching. There are many strategies available to use in teaching. I realize that no one strategy fits all the content I will need to cover. I intend to incorporate various teaching strategies into each lesson I teach. I will guide my students through the subject matter in order to assist the students in their own discoveries.
