Objective of the Orientation Program:
The Orientation Program was designed to welcome newly admitted nursing students, provide them with an understanding of the academic and institutional structure, and ensure a smooth transition into the college environment. It aimed to familiarize students with the curriculum, policies, faculty members, student support systems, and various opportunities for academic and professional growth.
Program Schedule and Details:
9:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Student Seating and Welcome
Facilitator: Program Coordinator & Class Coordinators
All newly admitted students were welcomed and guided to their designated seating arrangement in Room No. N. The seating process was efficiently managed, and student attendance was recorded. Informal interaction with peer groups was encouraged to break the ice.
10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Introduction to Academic System & Curriculum Overview

- Explanation of the Vision and Mission of the institution and SON.
- Overview of the academic system, semester pattern, and assessment structure.

- Curriculum Breakdown: Core and elective subjects, clinical hours, and skill-based modules.
- Introduction to the faculty members, their specializations, and roles.

10:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Orientation to ERP, Attendance, and Discipline Policies

- Anti-Ragging Policy: Strict zero-tolerance stance, UGC regulations, helpline numbers, and online affidavit submission process.
Outcome: Students were informed of the digital and disciplinary tools essential for a professional academic environment.
11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Document Verification

Process:
- Verification of original documents: 10th & 12th mark sheets, identity proofs, transfer certificates, medical certificates, and photographs.
- Submission of copies and checklist confirmation.
Outcome: Ensured authenticity and completeness of student records, enabling smooth onboarding into the academic system.
12:30 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch Break
Students and faculty had a lunch break with light refreshments and informal interactions. This allowed for social bonding and peer engagement.
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Internship, Placement & Faculty Guide Allocation

2:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Examination & Clinical Duties Orientation

Outcome: Students understood their responsibilities in clinical practice and the academic assessment process.
