INTRODUCTION
The School of Liberal Arts at Noida International University successfully organized “Deeksharambh 2025,” a comprehensive five-day orientation programme from 6th to 11th September 2025. This inaugural initiative was designed to welcome new students and create an inspiring academic environment that fosters literary enthusiasm, social responsibility, physical wellness, and career guidance. The program aimed to provide a holistic introduction to university life while connecting students with industry experts, alumni, and wellness practitioners.
OVERALL AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The Deeksharambh programme was conceived with the following overarching objectives:
- To familiarize newly admitted students with the academic culture, values, and ethos of the institution
- To inspire students toward literary engagement, social responsibility, and personal wellness
- To provide exposure to diverse career opportunities and professional pathways
- To create meaningful connections between current students, alumni, faculty, and industry experts
- To foster a sense of belonging and community within the School of Liberal Arts
- To promote holistic development encompassing intellectual, social, and physical well-being
DAY-WISE PROGRAMME DETAIL
DAY 1: 6th September 2025
Theme: “Civil Services Examination Orientation”
Venue: Seminar Hall, SBM Building, Ground Floor

Content Summary: The program commenced with an insightful orientation on the Civil Services Examination, conducted in collaboration with Next IAS. Ms. Ruchi Jain shared her inspiring journey from serving as a constable and patwari to securing Rank 1 in MPPSC 2019 and later clearing UPSC. Her narrative emphasized effective preparation strategies, discipline, and perseverance. Mr. Ajay Singh Ahlawat provided structured guidance on preparation techniques, answer writing practice, time management, and the importance of mentorship.

Content Summary: Dr. Pandey delivered an engaging and comprehensive talk guiding students through the complete journey of a book—from initial conception to publication. She elaborated on the roles of literary agents, editors, and publishers, discussing current industry trends including digital publishing and regional language content markets. The session emphasized the importance of critical reading for writers and provided invaluable advice on developing a unique voice and navigating the publication process.

Content Summary: The yoga workshop was conducted as part of the holistic development initiative. The session began with an inaugural ceremony and felicitation of the resource person by Prof. (Dr.) Aparna Sharma, Director of School of Liberal Arts. Students were introduced to the philosophy and benefits of yoga, followed by practical sessions on basic and intermediate asanas, pranayama techniques, and guided meditation.

Content Summary: The Alumni Meet provided a unique platform for interaction between current students and accomplished alumni. Mr. Avanish Upadhyay shared his professional journey from Business Development Executive at EduMont (EdTech company) to his current focus on UPSC Civil Services Examination preparation. The session included detailed discussions on career pathways, skill-building, higher studies, competitive examinations, and real-world applications of interdisciplinary knowledge. Ms. Sanju Kumari shared her experiences at School of Liberal Arts, Noida International University and in teaching for the newcomers to the school.

- Mrs. Paridhi Dublish (Social Worker, Siddharth Memorial Charitable NGO, Noida, Uttar Pradesh)
Content Summary: The final session focused on social responsibility and community service. Mrs. Dublish, with 18 years of experience as a homemaker, environmentalist, yoga enthusiast, and Buddhist practitioner, shared her inspiring journey in NGO work. She highlighted the challenges faced by underprivileged children in accessing education and described how her organization provides educational support, emotional encouragement, and life skills training. The session emphasized the principle that “the joy of giving is greater than that of receiving.”
