Event Overview:

The School of Nursing successfully organized a one-day program on “CPR Awareness Week” on 15th October 2025 at Room No. 048 & Departmental Library. The event was designed to create awareness about the importance of CPR and to educate participants about CPR technique – its indication and steps.

Healthcare professionals, faculty members, and students actively participated in the programme, making it a significant initiative toward community health promotion.

Objectives of the Programme:

  • To spread awareness among students about the importance of CPR in saving lives.
  • To improve students’ knowledge of basic CPR steps and techniques.
  • To encourage participation through quiz and poster competitions.
  • To build teamwork, confidence, and quick response skills in emergencies.
  • To promote a culture of lifesaving skills and community safety.

Prof. (Dr.) Dipak Sethi Director School of Nursing, as the Convenor. He guided and

encouraged us throughout our program.

Program Highlights:

  • Quiz Competition: Interactive quiz to test students’ knowledge of CPR concepts, emergency response, and first aid skills.
  • Poster Competition: Creative poster-making activity to promote awareness on CPR and lifesaving actions.
  • Participation from Nursing Students: Encouraging active learning through both knowledge-based and creative expression.
  • Judgment and Evaluation: Assessment based on accuracy, creativity, and presentation skills.
  • Prize Distribution: Appreciation prize distribution to winners.
  • Group Photo & Feedback Session: Concluding the event with reflections and awareness pledge on saving lives through CPR.

Participation:

  • Nursing students and faculty members actively took part.

Outcomes of the Event:

The event encouraged active participation, creativity, and teamwork while promoting a sense of responsibility toward community health. Overall, it strengthened awareness and inspired students to spread CPR knowledge beyond the classroom.
