Event Overview:
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBG) organized a Cervical Cancer and Vaccination Awareness Program on 20th February 2026 at the Primary School, Kehrli Bhav Mozampur, G.B. Nagar, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The program was coordinated by Ms. Money Saxena and Ms. Yuri Verma.
Objective of event-
The objective of the event was to create awareness among students, women, and community members about cervical cancer, its risk factors, early warning signs, preventive strategies, and the importance of timely vaccination. The session also focused on promoting menstrual hygiene and overall reproductive health.
The Chief Patron for the program was Dr Devesh Kumar Singh, Hon’ble Chairman,
Noida International University. He is an educationist and an academic leader with the vision, belief, value, understanding and work legacy of quality Education.
The Patron for the program was Dr Vikram Singh, Hon’ble Chancellor, Noida International University. He is an academic leader with the vision, conviction, appreciation, knowledge, and work legacy of high-quality education.
The Patron for the Program was Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Noida International University. She is a leader in higher education with the vision, conviction, appreciation, knowledge, and work ethic of great education.
The Patron for the Program was Prof. (Dr.) Dipak Sethi, Director of the School of Nursing, Noida International University, guided and encouraged us throughout our program.

Educational Talk
The educational session was conducted in a simple and understandable manner, focusing on the causes, risk factors, symptoms, early detection, and preventive measures of cervical cancer.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of HPV vaccination, regular health check-ups, and maintaining personal and menstrual hygiene. The speakers encouraged participants to adopt healthy practices and seek timely medical advice.
Participation
- Approximately 100 students (age group around 15 years) participated in the program
- Parents of some students were also present and actively engaged
- 4 teachers from the government school attended the event
- Participation from Sc. Nursing (6th Semester) students
- Participation from GNM 3rd and GNM 1st Year nursing students

Conclusion:
The Cervical Cancer and Vaccination Awareness Event 2026 successfully enhanced knowledge among students, parents, and teachers regarding cervical cancer prevention and the importance of HPV vaccination. The program reduced misconceptions, promoted menstrual hygiene and reproductive health awareness, and encouraged timely medical consultation. It also strengthened community engagement and provided valuable practical learning experience for nursing students.
