Dr. Aarfa Rajput is a professor & Dean in School of Mass communication & Journalism. at Noida international University. Previously she held the position of Associate professor at ISOMES Noida, Assistant Professor at Jamia Millia Islamia. also, former Head of Department at the School of Cinema, AAFT University Noida, and also worked as an Associate Professor at Zee Film School (ZIMA) Noida. She holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree from Jamia Millia Islamia,
Dr. Aarfa Rajput has made significant contributions to the field through her publications. She has authored numerous chapters in edited books on topics such as media, politics, films, and sustainable development. She currently serves as the Subject Expert Editor of the UGC peer-reviewed journal SAMAGAM since 2010. Furthermore, she has been associated as a Senior Judge with the International Microfilm Association in collaboration with the Hainan Microfilm Association Beijing China, she also senior Jury Member of The Women’s Voices Now Film Festival from Los Angles. US. s and as a permanent Jury Member for the Film Club of India. Dr. Aarfa Rajput was awarded the Best Professor ICON award at the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam National Icon Award ceremony. She has also served as a Board of Studies and Academic Member of Films at GNA University Punjab, as well as an Academic Member of the Board of Studies for the Film and Media Department at SGT University Gurugram.
Dr. Aarfa Rajput is actively involved in various committees and organizations. She is an active member of the Cultural and Admission Committees at Maitreyi College, Delhi University. Additionally, she is associated with AJK Mass Communication & Research Centre at Jamia Millia Islamia as a Radio Jockey and Visiting Faculty for Radio Broadcasting & Cinema. She has also been invited as a judge and chief guest for numerous webinars on various cinema and educational topics. Furthermore, she has served as an External Examiner at Sharda University, Noida. With expertise in Film Studies, Screenplay, Production & Direction of Films, Film Research, Cinema & Language, Cultural Studies, and Cinema & Journalism, Dr. Aarfa Rajput has supervised many students in their endeavors, including short films, over 500 film dissertations, research work, and practical assignments. She has valuable publications to her credit, including works on 'Cinema and Culture: Indian Art,' film reviews, direction, and social issues, published in numerous national and international journals, books, and newspapers.
Dr. Aarfa Rajput's contributions to education have earned her two National Awards, recognizing her significant impact in the field. She regularly presents papers at national and international seminars and also serves as a judge in many such events.
