She is presently serving as an Assistant Professor of English at SLA, NIU and holds a distinguished academic background. She is NET qualified and has earned her Ph.D. degree in English Literature from the University of Burdwan. She is also an M.B.A from ICFAI. She is a JRF awardee and has worked as a Junior Research Fellow at BU. Her various professional certifications include Teaching EFL/ESL Reading: A Task Based Approach, University of London, TESOL, Foundations of Career Navigating and Coaching etc. Her research interests are broad and multidisciplinary and includes Sri Lankan Diasporic Literature, Southeast Asian Diaspora Studies, Cultural studies and Post-Colonial Studies. She is also interested in the discourses of Race, Ethnicity, Identity and Peace Studies. Her scholarly output includes publications in national and internationally recognized journals highlighting her commitment to advancing knowledge. Her credentials include several presentations of research papers in national and international conferences and seminars.
