Event Overview:

The School of Nursing, Noida International University successfully organized a two-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on 29th and 30th January 2026 at the SBM Conference Hall. The programme was aimed at enhancing the academic, research, and professional competencies of faculty members in line with contemporary developments in education and healthcare.

The FDP was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and academic spirit in the august presence of university leadership, dignitaries, faculty members, and delegates. The programme served as a platform for knowledge exchange, skill enhancement, and professional growth.

Objectives of the Programme:

To enhance teaching–learning strategies and academic effectiveness among faculty members.

To promote research aptitude, innovation, and evidence-based practices.

To encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and professional development.

To strengthen faculty capacity in alignment with institutional quality standards.

The Chief Patron for the programme was Dr. Devesh Kumar Singh, Hon’ble Chairman, NIU. He is an educationist and academic leader with a strong vision and commitment towards excellence in higher education.

The Patron for the programme was Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, NIU. She is a distinguished leader in higher education with a strong commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and institutional development.

The FDP was further graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, whose expertise and experience added immense academic value to the programme. The Chief Guest’s address inspired participants to embrace continuous learning, research orientation, and professional growth.

Prof. (Dr.) Dipak Sethi, Director, School of Nursing, served as the Convenor of the programme. He provided constant guidance and encouragement throughout the planning and execution of the FDP.

Programme Highlights:

Inauguration Ceremony:

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge and wisdom.

A formal welcome address outlined the objectives and relevance of the FDP.

The inaugural address by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Ma’am emphasized the importance of continuous faculty development in achieving academic excellence.

The Chief Guest delivered an insightful inaugural address focusing on innovation, research culture, and capacity building in higher education.

Technical Sessions:

Expert sessions were conducted by eminent speakers from academia and healthcare.

Topics covered innovative teaching methodologies, research ethics, publication strategies, and professional skill development.

Interactive discussions and Q&A sessions encouraged active faculty participation.

Participation:

Faculty members from the School of Nursing and other allied disciplines actively participated in the programme.
