OBJECTIVE OF THE ACTIVITY

· Faculty and researchers who participate in FDP are intended to gain essential skills for producing high quality papers and successfully navigating publishing processes.

· Participants will get better insight regarding the research question design, sample size calculation, referencing, and publishing procedure.

· Participants elevate their intellectual contributions and institutional research standards while expanding their academic credibility and research skills.

OUTCOME OF THE ACTIVITY

· The key purpose of the FDP is to have productive discussions regarding the procedures to be followed and the methods to be used when writing a research paper.

· This will provide the crucial prospects to select a topic, formulate objectives, conduct a systematic literature review, formulate and test hypotheses, analyse data using a variety of statistical methods, use various referencing managers like Mendeley, and publish the work in reputable, high-quality journals.

REPORT

The five-day Faculty Development Program on “Research Paper Writing” was successfully conducted by school of Allied Health Sciences, Noida International university. A total of 172 participants attended the Faculty Development Program on “Research Paper Writing” which was held from July 11 to July 15, 2024. A variety of internal and external speakers provided insightful talks on a range of topics, including developing research questions, reading research papers critically, using ethnographic research methods, statistical tools in the health sciences, and more.

Speakers highlighted the value of ethical research concerns, writing concisely, choosing the right journals for publishing, and upholding integrity in the research process throughout the five-day session. There was beneficial guidance given on how to address significant aspects of research ethics during the session, such as avoiding plagiarism, using appropriate citation styles, and comprehending important research metrics. It encouraged each of the participants to actively participate in conversations, pose questions, and use the knowledge gained to their

own research endeavours.
Prof. (Dr.) Supriya Awasthi, Head & Professor, School of allied health sciences, delivered a vote of thanks at the end of the program to recognise the work and contributions of the speakers, moderators, organising committee members, and resource persons. The program, which was conducted in a hybrid mode, benefited 172 participants in total. All enrolled participants received e-certificates, and feedback sessions were held to evaluate the program’s effectiveness.
In this regard, Noida International University’s Faculty Development Program on “Research Paper Writing” aimed to enhance research productivity via providing participants the skills and expertise needed to produce excellent research proposals and papers. The program’s goals were optimally accomplished, and participants provided it positive feedback.
