To mark the birth anniversary of Sir Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen a webinar on Lead Free Radiation Protection – Zero Lead Aprons Demystified was organized by the Department of Radiology and Imaging Technology, School of Allied Health Sciences. The program was declared open with a welcome note and orientation by Ms. Rashi Saraswat, Program Coordinator, Department of Radiology and Imaging Technology, School of Allied Health Sciences, Noida International University. The guest speaker was Mr. Junaid, Assistant Professor, Department of Allied Health Sciences, Brainware University. The honorable speaker has immense knowledge in the field of radiology and imaging technology. The participants of the webinar were among the category of students, academicians and radiographers who joined from different corners of the country. There was a total of 308 participants who joined in and actively participated in the webinar. The participants were from Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Vivekananda Global University, GNA University, ERA University, CT University, SGT University, Royal Global University, Starex University, Sushila Global University of Medical Sciences and many more. The speaker emphasized on radiation protection, importance of radiation protection and implication of radiation protection laws. Also, he highlighted the use, advantage and effectiveness of lead aprons and zero lead aprons. The Head of the School, Prof. Dr. Supriya Awasthi encapsulated the essence of the guest speaker, organizers, the participants and underscored the significance of collaboration and learning in today’s educational landscape by her inspiring words. The moderator of the session Mr. Shivam Bhardwaj, Assistant Professor, Department of Radiology and Imaging Technology, School of Allied Health Sciences, concluded the session by summarizing the key points of the webinar and shared the take home message.This webinar served as a powerful platform for learning, and earning knowledge. |
