DESCRIPTION
School of Pharmacy, Noida International University organized National Pharmacy week on 20/11/2023 for B. Pharm and D. Pharm in the Campus.
The objective of National Pharmacy Week in India serves as a platform to acknowledge and celebrate the efforts of pharmacists in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, advancing healthcare, and promoting public health awareness. In this regard, various activites like Pharma Rangoli, Nukkad Natak, and Pharma Tree by the students of School of Pharmacy was conducted under supervision of Dr. Sameer Rastogi (Dean SOP), Mr Abhishek Sharma, Ms Priti Tiwari along with Dr Neha and Mr Raju Singh.
First day:
National Pharmacy Week in India is an annual observance dedicated to celebrating the invaluable contributions of pharmacists and pharmacy professionals to the healthcare system. Typically occurring in the third week of November, this week-long event serves as a platform to recognize the pivotal role played by pharmacists in ensuring safe medication practices, optimal healthcare delivery, and public health advancement. This observance aims to highlight the diverse responsibilities shouldered by pharmacists across the nation. It acknowledges their role not only in dispensing medications but also in providing essential healthcare services, counseling patients on proper medication usage, managing drug therapies, conducting research, and contributing significantly to the development of pharmaceutical science. Throughout National Pharmacy Week, various activities are organized by pharmaceutical associations, healthcare institutions, and educational establishments to commemorate the occasion. These activities often include seminars, workshops, health camps, awareness programs, and public campaigns focused on promoting health education, medication safety, and disease prevention. The week also serves as an opportunity to foster collaboration and networking among pharmacists, pharmacy students, healthcare professionals, and the public. It emphasizes the importance of continuous learning, professional development, and staying updated with the latest advancements in pharmaceuticals and healthcare practices. Moreover, National Pharmacy Week aims to raise awareness among the general population about the role of pharmacists beyond merely dispensing medicines. It emphasizes their role as trusted healthcare advisors, promoting rational drug use, and improving patient outcomes by ensuring adherence to prescribed medications.

Second Day
Today marked the continuation of our celebration of National Pharmacy Week with engaging activities. The poster presentation showcased innovative research and advancements in the field, providing a platform for knowledge exchange among participants.
The debate competition stirred intellectual discussions, addressing critical issues in pharmacy practice. Participants passionately debated topics ranging from pharmaceutical ethics to the role of technology in modern pharmacy.
The event fostered a vibrant atmosphere of learning and collaboration, reinforcing the significance of the pharmacy profession. Looking forward to more insightful activities in the upcoming days.
