NIU Collaborates with NIDM for National-Level Art & Culture Event

Noida, 15 May 2025: Noida International University’s School of Fine Arts and Design successfully hosted 5-day art & culture event, Abhibyakti 2025 Annual Art Exhibition in association with NIDM Young Minds Workshop on a national level with 60 young artists across the country and participation of over 1000 students.


A key highlight was the launch of the “Waste Out of Wonder” (WOW) Park, an innovative environmental art initiative inaugurated by Padma Bhushan Ram V. Sutar and Mr. Tutu Patnaik, which turned discarded materials into powerful ecological sculptures. NIU proudly inaugurated “Abhibyakti 2025”, its annual art exhibition, in the esteemed presence of Padma Bhushan Jatin Das and celebrated contemporary artists, including Mr. Chuguli Sahoo, Ms. Kavita Nayar, and Mr. Tapan Das. The exhibition provided students with rare mentorship, exposure, and live feedback from India’s art luminaries. Additionally, the event included interactive school outreach, live demonstrations, student-led installations, cultural performances, and a closing ceremony that celebrated artistic excellence and sustainability-driven creativity.

Art Education Outreach took center stage as school groups from across Delhi-NCR, including St. Thomas School, DAV Noida, Indirapuram Public School, and others, engaged with interactive installations, exhibitions, and hands-on workshops, offering young minds an immersive and inspiring introduction to the world of art and creativity.

Dr. Nihar Das, Dean at the School of Fine Arts and Design said, “First, the School of Fine Arts & Design is grateful to the higher authorities of NIU who allowed us to organize such events and thanks to NIDM for actively helping us to make this event a grand success. Creative Milestones has showcased emerging art that ignites a national conversation around creativity as a catalyst for unity, environmental consciousness, and youth empowerment. With this, we will come up with more innovative and artistic events for students to showcase their talent.”

The festival concluded with a vibrant Closing Ceremony by Mr. Rahas Mohanty, Deputy Secretary of Lalit Kala Akademi, and renowned modernist painter Mr. Asit Patnaik. The finale featured captivating cultural performances, reflections from dignitaries and mentors, and a spirited awards ceremony honoring student excellence and innovation, wrapping up the week on a high note of celebration, creativity, and unity.
