Greater Noida, August 2022: Noida International University which aims at teaching students in ethics and traditional values, celebrated the 76th Independence Day of the country with their students and their families. Students from School of Allied Health Sciences, School of Nursing, School of Journalism & Mass Communication and School of Fine Arts presented their talent and gave patriotic performances to honour the freedom fighters, soldiers and the people who are serving the nation.
Hon’ Pro Vice Chancellor- Prof. (Dr.) Prasanjeet Kumar, Hon’ Registrar – Dr Mukesh Parashar and Dr. Ashutosh Niranjan, Dean of Noida Institute of Medical Sciences were present as the dignitaries and hoisted the flag.
Congratulating everyone on completing the 75 years of Independence, Prof. (Dr.) Prasanjeet Kumar, Pro Vice Chancellor, Noida International University said, “We have completed the 75 years of independence but we still have a long way to go. We have to reach the glory when our country was called “Sone ki Chidiya”. This can be achieved when the person stays connected to the roots of our tradition and develop as an ethical and liberated individual. We at NIU teach every student the value of sacrifice, patriotism, ethics and liberation so that we can all together serve the nation and take it to its glory”.
The vibrant cultural performances by students included speeches by students, patriotic songs and spellbinding dance under the banner of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahastav’.
Giving tribute to the soldiers at the border who are serving the nation, Dr Mukesh Parashar, Registrar, Noida International University said, “We salute all the soldiers and freedom fighters who gave their lives for the independence of this country. Their sacrifice should not be paid tribute with just one day of celebration but 365 days a year by contributing to the country’s development. The struggle to maintain independence and achieve the dream of our freedom fighters is still there. Thus, we must inculcate the value of patriotism, sacrifice, and respect for the nation and contribute to the development of the country”.
NIU also participated and hoisted the flag for a week under the theme “Har Ghar Jhanda and also encouraged students to install a national flag on their rooftops in honour of our freedom fighters.
