Report on Celebration of 5th National Pharmacovigilance Week – 2025

The 5th National Pharmacovigilance Week (NPW) was celebrated at School of Pharmacy, Noida International University from 17th to 23rd September, 2025, in accordance with the guidelines of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), Ghaziabad. The aim of this week-long celebration was to create awareness among students, faculty, and the community regarding the importance of pharmacovigilance, adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting, and patient safety.

Objectives

  • To sensitize pharmacy students and healthcare stakeholders about pharmacovigilance and ADR reporting.
  • To promote the theme “Your Safety, just a Click Away: Report to PvPI”.
  • To encourage active participation of students in awareness activities through academic and community-oriented programs.

The School of Pharmacy, Noida International University, enthusiastically celebrated World Pharmacist Day 2025 with great zeal and active participation from students and faculty members. The event was organized to highlight the vital role of pharmacists in healthcare and to strengthen the professional spirit among budding pharmacists.

The celebration commenced with a warm welcome address by our respected Dean Sir, who extended his greetings to the students and faculty, emphasizing the significance of pharmacists in improving global health. This was followed by the Pharmacist’s Oath, wherein all students took a pledge to uphold the ethics and responsibilities of the profession with sincerity and dedication.

To make the occasion lively and engaging, a series of fun and recreational activities were organized for students. Competitions such as Carrom, Tug of War, and Rangoli added joy, enthusiasm, and healthy competition to the day. Students participated with full energy and showcased their creativity, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The celebration not only marked the importance of World Pharmacist Day but also provided a platform for students to bond, interact, and celebrate the essence of their profession in a vibrant manner. The event concluded with appreciation for all participants and encouragement to continue contributing to society as responsible and skilled pharmacists.
