Ø Event: World Leprosy Day, 30 Jan 2025, at The Leprosy Mission Hospital, Delhi, with 54 BPT students. Ø Purpose: Raise awareness about leprosy, reduce social stigma, and highlight early diagnosis, prevention, and rehabilitation. Ø Student Activities: Skits, speeches, poems, slogans, rangoli, dance, and songs focused on leprosy education and social inclusion. Ø Learning Outcomes: Enhanced understanding of leprosy management, disability prevention, patient-centered care, and public health physiotherapy. Ø Skills Developed: Communication, teamwork, leadership, empathy, and ethical professional conduct. Ø Future Implications: Continued community engagement strengthens experiential learning, public health competencies, and promotes careers in rehabilitation and advocacy. |
