Workshop on FUNDAMENTALS OF GRAPHIC SOFTWARE

5- Day long Skill Development Workshop on fundamentals of graphics software from 9th – 13th October 2023 (Monday – Friday)

The School of Fine Arts organized a 5 days’ workshop from 9th – 13th October 2023 in the SFA department. This skill-based workshop was proposed to be held in offline mode. The aim of this workshop was to provide students with the fundamental knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop design software. Illustrator is brilliant for creating graphics, Photoshop is excellent at editing them. Photoshop has quickly become the best photo editing software in the industry. It has tools that target photo composition, lighting, collaging, and much, much more. These are essential design tool for anyone who needs to express ideas visually in print, on the web, and in any other medium.

During the workshop students advance the ability to create and develop visual form in response to communication problems, including an understanding of principles of visual organization/composition, information hierarchy, symbolic representation, typography, aesthetics, and the construction of meaningful images.

This workshop also prepare students for jobs in creative industries like graphic design, digital design, and user interface (UI) design.

The session was conducted by the internal expert Mr. Saket Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor. Faculty Coordinators for this workshop was Ms. Ritika Mittal & Ms. Deeksha Yadav. All Applied Art students participated in this workshop for the part of learning in the field of digital design; it enriches the senses, sensibility and intellect for growth in this design through the software field.
