Summary |
World Optometry Week is celebrated from 17th March to 23rd March every year to create awareness on vision screening and eye health. Eye examination every prevents the preventable blindness and also adds to day-to-day productivity of individuals. The students of Optometry, School of Allied Health Sciences conducted a two-day vision screening program for the students & faculties of Noida International University. The vision examination included recording medical history, visual acuity assessment, refraction, subjective acceptance, assessment of near point of accommodation, assessment of near point of convergence and prescription of spectacles were provided to ones in need. The students successfully screened 220 eyes and had a great hands-on experience dealing with the good number of patients. The camp was concluded by a cake cutting ceremony to celebrate the noble profession of Optometry. |
