Workshop Summary

Cooking without fire or fireless cooking refers to the process of preparing food without the use of gas or fire.

Cooking activities provides practical experience to kids, with many essential skills such as reading, following directions, and measuring. Stirring, rolling, squeezing and spreading are just a few of the kitchen tasks that allow young children to develop their fine motor and hand-eye coordination skills.

Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, School of Allied Health Sciences organized a Cooking Competition- Cooking without Fire.

The event was initiated with the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. The audience was addressed by our honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj, followed by respected Dean, SOAHS Prof. (Dr.) Supriya Awasthi.

Children participated with full zeal and enthusiasm as they doled out nutritious dishes.

The event not only provided a platform for the students to foster their creativity and decision-making skills but also helped them explore their hidden talents and discover new areas of interest.

The cooking competition was evaluated based on several criteria, including presentation, taste, novelty of Idea and overall execution. The judges had a tough time deciding the winners, as all the contestants had prepared outstanding dishes. In the end, the top three winners were announced, and they received gift hampers from the sponsors Nutrelis Agro Foods.

Overall, the cooking competition was a resounding success, with everyone involved having a great time. In conclusion, the cooking competition was an unforgettable experience that showcased the talent and creativity of the contestants.
