The School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) at Noida International University hosted a Felicitation Ceremony and Guest Lecture on “The Role of Film Festivals in Discovering New Talents”. The event featured prominent industry experts, including Mr. Abhay Sinha, President of the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA), Mr. Raghvendra Awasthi, Founder and Chairman of Mahuaa TV, Mr. Vinod Gupta, Film & TV Producer, and Mr. Arnav Singh, Bollywood actor.
Mr. Sinha shared valuable insights into the workflow of the film industry and the stages of film production, motivating students to venture into filmmaking and serial production. Mr. Awasthi discussed how films serve as a mirror of society, bridging cultural gaps. Prof. Dr. Mukesh Parashar, Registrar, and Prof. Dr. Aarfa Rajput, Dean, SJMC, emphasized the importance of such events in providing students with a deeper understanding of the industry and preparing them to produce high-quality films for global recognition.
The session was attended by faculty and students, offering a unique opportunity to interact with industry professionals and gain knowledge on the practical aspects of the media and film industries.
