Dr. Poonam Kumari has obtained her doctoral degree from Centre for Historical Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. She is an Assistant Professor in Department of History, Noida International University. Prior to this, she served at Gautam Buddha University, Uttar Pradesh. She was also associated with School of Open Learning and Non-collegiate Women education Board. Her research interest lies in the topics related to Buddhism, Societal and Economic concerns and Epigraphical studies. She has received Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for the interval 2014-2019. She has done learning courses on the ancient languages like Pali, Prakrit and Sanskrit. She has presented papers in national and international seminars and has published three research articles in journals. She has also served as a volunteer in conferences and in social services like ‘Antarchakshu’ in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
