Dr. Sangeeta Mishra is presently serving as an Assistant Professor of English at School of Liberal Arts, NIU. She teaches Indian Literature, Translation Studies, Film and Media Studies, Women’s Writing in English, Cultural Studies, Comparative Literature, Literary Theory and Criticism and Professional Communication. She has earned her education degree from University of Delhi, Delhi. Her PhD thesis engages the study of the trajectory of folk to popular culture in relation to art practices. She has an interest in understanding different performance traditions of India. She holds a Doctoral Fellowship of Indian Council of Social Science Research, MHRD, Government of India 2017-2018. Her credentials include papers in national and international publications of repute, several presentations of research papers in national conferences and seminars.
