Noida International University (NIU) proudly participated in the Physioconnect 5 International Conference, held on 1st – 2nd February 2025 at Anand Swaroop Auditorium, Sharda University. This prestigious event, under the theme “One World, One Vision,” attracted over 1,500 physiotherapy professionals, researchers, and students from 50+ universities. Sponsored by The Mayra Foundation, the conference provided a platform for academic excellence, research innovation, and professional development.
NIU faculty and students played an active role in the conference. Dr. Nishchint, Dr. Diksha, Dr. Ritu, and Ms. Jyoti (6th Semester) participated enthusiastically in the scientific research sessions and paper presentations, with Dr. Nishchint securing 2nd position in the Scientific Research Category for his groundbreaking work. Additionally, 9 NIU students participated in the poster presentation, with Ms. Minal securing 1st position for her exceptional poster, showcasing the creativity and research talent within the institution.
The conference also celebrated the remarkable achievements of Dr. Supriya Awasthi, Dean, School of Allied Health Sciences, was invited as a guest speaker and chaired a scientific session. She was honored with the Guru Dronacharya Award for her exemplary mentorship and leadership in physiotherapy. Dr. Pallavi Prakash, Program Coordinator department of physiotherapy, also chaired a scientific session and received the Excellence in Physiotherapy Education Award for her outstanding contributions to the field. Furthermore, Dr. Rohit Rathore contributed as a Scientific Research Committee Member and received the Dr. Abdul Kalam Academic Excellence Award. Dr. Nishchint was also recognized with the Young Achiever Award, reflecting his innovative research and dedication to advancing physiotherapy.
