Under the School of Business Management (SBM), two innovative undergraduate programmes are being launched:
- BBA in Retail Operations
- B.Com in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI)
These pioneering programs promise to transform undergraduate business education by merging academic theory with practical experience—equipping students not only for exams, but for work from day one.
What is the Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (AEDP)?
In keeping with UGC’s new guidelines and India’s National Education Policy 2020, AEDP enables undergraduate students to undergo structured apprenticeships as a part of their syllabus. The aim is straightforward: make graduates job-ready, skilled, and industry-ready.
Under the AEDP:
- Students undergo 2 years of academic study
- Followed by 1 full year of paid apprenticeship
- The program is imparted through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), in association with BOAT/BOPT
- Apprenticeship allowances are government-sponsored, beginning at ₹9,000/month
This distinctive format allows students to get practical experience in their area of study while earning their degrees.
BBA in Retail Operations: Learning by Doing in a Booming Sector
The Retail industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors in India, with scope running from physical stores to e-commerce platforms. The BBA in Retail Operations program is geared towards building customer-facing, analytical, and operational skills with an emphasis on:
- Customer Relationship Management
- Store Operations

- Sales and Distribution Management

The curriculum is offered in partnership with the Retailers Association’s Skill Council of India (RASCI)—an industry-led body under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
