Dr. Abhishek Kumar Mishra is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Biotechnology and Microbiology, at Noida International University, India, since September 2022. Dr. Mishra attained his PhD in Microbiology from the esteemed All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India, in 2015. His doctoral research, focusing on the development of small interfering RNA (siRNA) against Coxsackievirus A24, aimed at tackling eye infections, showcased his dedication to addressing critical public health concerns. Dr. Mishra's research interests extend far beyond his initial focus. He possesses a deep understanding of RNA interference (RNAi) and has explored its potential against other significant viruses, including Dengue virus and SARS-CoV-2. His research portfolio further expands beyond viral therapies, encompassing the exciting exploration of enzymes for cancer treatment and the development of a novel, accessible nucleic acid staining dye. His dedication is evident in his numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national and international conferences. Notably, his work on siRNA-mediated inhibition of Coxsackievirus A24 and the application of nanotechnology in drug discovery and cancer therapy have garnered recognition within the scientific community. Prior to his current position, Dr. Mishra enriched his career with valuable experience at esteemed institutions like the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Health Sciences, AYUSH, ICMR, and King George's Medical University.
