Name of the Event: Chetna Series Lecture on “Cyber Crime and Cyber Security”

As per the notification of Pharmacy Council of India, the School of Pharmacy, Noida International University, successfully organized an event under the Chetna Series Lecture as part of the observance of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) 2025. The session focused on the theme “Cyber Crime and Cyber Security”, aiming to spread awareness about online threats and preventive measures to ensure digital safety.
The event commenced at 11:00 a.m. with a brief introduction by the faculty coordinator, highlighting the growing importance of cyber hygiene in the modern era. Prof.(Dr.) Sameer Rastogi, Dean, School of Pharmacy highlighted on Cybercrime and Cyber Security. The lecture addressed various forms of cybercrime, such as phishing, data breaches, identity theft, and social engineering. Students were informed about the safe use of digital platforms and the role of responsible online behavior in maintaining cybersecurity.
Following the lecture, a Quiz Competition was conducted to assess participants’ understanding of cyber safety concepts. Students enthusiastically participated, demonstrating great awareness and interest in the topic. The winners of the quiz were acknowledged and appreciated for their knowledge and engagement.
A webinar was also organized, featuring an expert speaker who discussed real-life cases of cyber threats and shared valuable insights on how to protect personal and professional data from online vulnerabilities. The interactive session encouraged students to ask questions and clarify doubts regarding cybersecurity practices.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks to the organizing team and participants. The initiative successfully raised awareness among students about the importance of digital security and safe online practices, aligning with the vision of NCSAM to create a cyber-aware generation.
