Dr. Ajay Tiwari is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at Noida International University, Greater Noida (Delhi NCR). He holds a Ph.D. in Geography with specialization in Remote Sensing and GIS from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, in collaboration with the Space Applications Centre (ISRO), Ahmedabad Gujarat. His doctoral research focused on land use and land cover change monitoring and Ravine Status Mapping of the world-famous Chambal Ravines, along with their environmental implications in Central India, using Earth observation satellite techniques. He has been graduated from Kanpur University and University of Allahabad.

Dr. Tiwari has over a decade of academic and research experience in the field of Geography, Remote Sensing, and GIS applications. Prior to joining Noida International University, he served as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Geography at Gokul Global University, Gujarat, and as a Visiting Faculty of Geoinformatics at Gujarat University Ahmedabad, Anant National University Ahmedabad, and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Government College, Silvassa (UT of DNH & Daman & Diu). He has been associated with DST Women Scientists Projects at Faculty of Technology, CEPT University Ahmedabad, he has been a Researcher at M.P. Remote Sensing Application Centre, M.P. Council of Science of Technology (MPCOST) Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. He has done a project on Lunar Morphology using Chandrayan-1 TMC at Space Applications Centre, ISRO Ahmedabad, he also taught Geography as a Lecturer at Kendriya Vidyalaya Silvassa under the big umbrella of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS).

His research areas include Lunar Morphology, Geospatial Technology, Land Use and Land Cover Change Analysis, Environmental Studies, Climate Change and Sustainable Development. He has published several scholarly articles in reputed journals indexed in Web of Science, Scopus, and SCI categories and presented his papers at numerous national and international conferences. Dr. Tiwari has participated in several Conferences, advanced training programs, Faculty Development Courses, and international workshops organized by NASA–ISRO, IEEE-GRSS, DST-NRDMS, IMD, IMS, ISG, ISRS and different overseas organizations. He is a Life Member of the Indian Meteorological Society (IMS) and the Indian Society of Geomatics (ISG, SAC–ISRO).

His technical expertise includes proficiency in ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine, ENVI, QGIS, and SAGA GIS, along with practical knowledge of digital image processing (DIP), GPS applications, and digital topographic surveying. He is a and Member of IQAC Audit Committee and Member of BOS Committee at Global University, Gujarat. Dr. Tiwari is also associated with the several editorial boards and is Member of Advisory Committees of international reputed academic journals and continues to mentor the PhD Research Scholars in Remote Sensing applications.
