Dr Jyotsana Mishra is an Assistant Professor in the School of Liberal Arts at Noida International University (NIU). She possesses a strong interdisciplinary academic background in Defence and Strategic Studies and Sociology. She completed her Bachelor's degree, Master's in Defence and Strategic Studies, and Ph.D. in Defence and Strategic Studies from the prestigious University of Allahabad. She also holds a Master's degree in Sociology from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), enriching her expertise with interdisciplinary perspectives.

Dr Mishra is the author of the book India's Maritime Threats and has published several research papers, book chapters, and scholarly articles in reputed national and international journals. Her research interests include International Relations, Defence and Strategic Studies, Indo-Pacific, foreign policy, Geopolitics, and the strategic implications of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence in international security.

She has presented research papers at numerous national and international conferences and has actively contributed to academic scholarship through research, publications, editorial responsibilities, and collaborative academic initiatives. As an educator, Dr Mishra actively fosters critical thinking, research excellence, and policy-orientated learning. She strives to bridge theory with practice, inspiring students to develop a comprehensive understanding of contemporary international affairs and equipping them to address complex global challenges through informed analysis and innovative thinking.
