
Dr. Yogita Sharma
Assistant Professor
Dr. Yogita Sharma is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Noida International University, Greater Noida. She also serves as the University's Counselling Chairperson, where she actively supports student well-being and mental health initiatives. She earned her Ph.D. in Psychology from Amity University Rajasthan in 2022, following earlier degrees in Psychology and Economics, along with a Diploma in Counselling and Guidance.
Her research focuses on self-esteem, body image, consumer behaviour, mental health, and the psychological impact of digital media. She has published 12 Scopus-indexed research papers and one Web of Science-indexed paper, in addition to book chapters and conference publications. She has successfully guided one Ph.D. scholar to the award of the doctoral degree and is currently supervising four Ph.D. scholars, two of whom are working on an ICSSR-funded collaborative project in collaboration with AIIMS and Gautam Buddha University. She has also mentored more than 20 undergraduate and postgraduate students through their research projects and dissertation.
Beyond teaching and research, Dr. Sharma serves as an Academic Counsellor with IGNOU and has organized numerous mental health awareness programmes, including street theatre (Nukkad Natak), workshops, and panel discussions on gender and well-being. She has contributed to several institutional committees, including IQAC, NAAC, and UGC-related initiatives, and has previously served as Examination Chairperson and ERP Chairperson. She is a Lifetime Member of the Indian Academy of Applied Psychology (IAAP) and the International Association of Young Psychologists (IAYP).
