OBJECTIVE OF THE ACTIVITY

· By giving them a deeper understanding of platform for the start-ups and innovators to incubate innovative ideas for translation in Health Care Sector.

· To facilitate the incubatee with mentoring support from medical experts from diverse disciplines for optimizing diagnostic, therapeutic and other health care interventions.

· To Facilitate direct engagement between participants and successful innovators through a Q&A

OUTCOME OF THE ACTIVITY

Students will gain a deeper understanding of the innovation process, from ideation to execution, and learn how successful innovators navigate challenges and setbacks.

Students will be inspired to embrace a culture of continuous learning and curiosity, staying informed about industry trends and remaining open to new possibilities.

REPORT

· School of Allied Health Sciences, Noida International University organized a visit to GIMS Centre for Medical Innovation and Incubation on 30th April,2024 in collaboration with the Institution Innovation Council under the supervision of Dr. Supriya Awasthi, Head SOAHS and Dr. Pragya Sharma (PT), SOAHS IIC Coordinator (Assistant professor, SOAHS)

· The significance of innovation in the healthcare industry was made clear to the students by this visit. This undoubtedly aids in engaging students attention and fostering in them an early inclination for innovation.

· Students were inspired by a variety of inventions in the healthcare industry and gained knowledge about the obstacles they faced, the victories they achieved, and the turning points that moulded their inventive paths.

· A mentorship session was offered to provide insight into ventures, projects, and how to use innovative concepts to seek grants from various funding agencies while driving medical technology innovation and transforming the medical field.

· They highlighted the incredible startups inducted into GIMS, such as Dr at Home, TSAW, and MATRI.

· Introduced the students to the GIMS genome sequencing facility and skill stimulation lab, which provide realistic scenarios to enhance skill.
