National Science Day

28th of Febraury is being celebrated as the National Science Day across our country since year 1986. On this day, Sir CV Raman the great physicist of India announced the discovery of the famous “Raman Effect” for which he was awarded the Nobel prize in the year 1930. School of Sciences, Noida International University, celebrated this occasion by organizing a two-day event on the 27 and 28th of February 2023. The event was based on this year’s theme “Global Science for Global Wellbeing” unveiled by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India (https://dst.gov.in/union-minister-dr-jitendra-singh-unveils-theme-national-science-day-2023-titled-global-science).
Various events were organized by different departments of the school which included – Quiz, Essay writing competition, poster, and portrait presentation on Day one followed by a scientific-themed Rangoli competition and Model presentation on Day two. The event ended on a high note with two scientifically themed skits presented by the students that highlighted the role of India in global well-being and its emergence as a possible leader in Science and Technology.
