Report on the webinar “Digital healthcare & Telemedicine” 2.0

WEBINAR REPORT ON 08/AUGUST/2022

 Telehealth is the distribution of health-related services and information via electronic information and telecommunication technologies .Telemedicine is the use of electronic information to communicate technologies to provide and support healthcare when distance separates the participants. It allows long-distance patient and clinician contact, care, advice, reminders, education, intervention, monitoring, and remote admissions.

A webinar on “Digital health care and Telemedicine” was conducted on 08 August 2022 by School of Nursing, Noida International University.

The objective of the webinar was to enhance the knowledge regarding Telemedicine and expound its scope, in India, as well globally.

The Chairperson for the webinar was Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, NIU She is an educationist and an academic leader with the vision, belief, value, understanding and work legacy of quality Education.

The Chief Patron for the webinar was Prof. (Dr) Parsanjeet Kumar, Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor, NIU. He is an educationist and an efficient academic leader with a keen focus on Research and publication development.

Prof (Dr) Dinesh Kumar, Director School of Nursing, as the Convenor welcomed the dignitaries and encouraged all the participants to take up the responsibility of E-learning and assured for such rewarding experience on topic related to Telemedicine and its scope.

The Guest Speaker for the webinar was Mrs.Anantha Sai, Course Director of Chaithanya Medical Foundation, Bangalore, Karnataka .

She shared her vast experience, knowledge and her thoughts on the related Subject. The session lasted for 1 hour 10 minutes and proved to be very engaging and captivating for all the participants.

Around 92 registrations were made for the webinar ranging from students, UG, academicians, and administrative personalities from inside and outside the University. The event was a grand success, and everyone appreciated this opportunity of learning on virtual mode. The feedback from the participants has been very positive, despite the minor technical issues faced during the webinar.
