DESCRIPTION.
Noida International University, School of Nursing, under the flagship of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan organized an awareness program on “Women Empowerment Day” with the theme “जब है नारी में शक्ति सारी, तो फिर क्यों नारी को कहे बेचारी.”under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Dean/Principal School of Nursing and Ms. Shikha Gupta (Assistant Professor, SON) on 28th of September, 2022.
The empowerment and autonomy of women and the improvement of their political, social, economic and health status is a highly important end in itself. In addition, it is essential for the achievement of sustainable development of society.
The campaign was carried out in the adopted village of Makanpur Khadar (Gr.Noida) with the basic aim to raise the women’s sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own choice and their right to influence social chances for themselves and others. The Students of B.Sc 1st year actively took part in the program by performing drama to all the high standards students ranging from 7th to 12th class.
