School of Fine Arts, Noida International University organised an Induction programme in collaboration with Gallery Onkaf, New Delhi to welcome a new batch of 2022-2023 to assist them in making the smoothest transition possible, awareness and motivation for the students for best academic opportunity and personal growth. The event started with the introduction of new students, SFA department. And at the same time the department also has awareness about fine arts career, counseling them how once students have finished with a degree in Fine arts, there are many opportunities for work available both locally and internationally. All the students visited Indian contemporary art Gallery Onkaf in New Delhi. The students of Fine Art need to be connected with such types of events like the contemporary art exhibition, art studio practices as it helps them to be more progressive and to incorporate new thoughts, new materials in their art practices. The students can understand extensively through such face to face interaction with artists and the art market. This visit helped them to increase their sense of new materials that are being used by different artists in their art practice at this time. The students also got the opportunity to meet and interact with famous international artists like Brandon Ballengee, USA, Ivan Buenader, Spain, Rebecca Chesney, UK, and Anke Mellin, Germany. The interaction of artists and galleries helps them to understand themselves and their art better; it will definitely make an impression on their young minds. They learned how to cultivate and transfer their thoughts on paper or canvas. The aim and objective of the gallery visit was also for good employability and excellent career in the field of creative practices for the fine arts students.

The event was Guide by Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, NIU, Prof. (Dr.) Parsanjeet Kumar (Hon’ble Pro Vice chancellor, NIU), The event was carried out by  Ms. Neah Jangra, Assistant Professor and Ms. Ritika Mittal,  Assistant Professor, and 60 students of BFA, MFA participated in the event.
