Noida international University celebrates International women’s day.

Noida international University celebrated International women’s day Eve from 7th March to 8th March 2022. International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the historical, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also observed in support of taking action against gender inequality around the world. We all know the world couldn’t run without . This is the day to appreciate their efforts! Organizations large and small come together to show women just how valuable they are in today’s society.

The theme of international women’s day 2022 was “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”.

Noida international University celebrated the bravery of the women’s all over the world with more than 30 + Nations students come together.
On 7th March, first day of the event women’s started with the inauguration ceremony followed by poster making in and essay writing competition. The inauguration ceremony held in the presence of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Vikram Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj, Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Prasanjeet Kumar, and the Register Prof. (Dr.) Jayanand. The event was organised under the cultural committee of the university and around 90 students participated in the event. Faculty coordinators for the poster making competition were Ms. Ritika and Ms. Shaila and for essay writing were Ms. Indu & Ms. Ruchika.

Winners of Essay writing competition:
1. Ms Soni singh and Mitri Mishra: 1st Position
2. Ms. Sunita and Ms Shivangi Yadav: 2nd Position
3. Ms.Ritu and Mr Rishab: 3rd Position

Winners of Poster making competition:
1. Ms Divya: 1st

On the second day of the event was hosted by Ms. Himani Karegiti. The inauguration ceremony held in the presence Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Vikram Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj, Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Prasanjeet Kumar, and the Register Prof. (Dr.) Jayanand.

NIU Welcomed the guest of honour for the ceremony Ms. Pallavi Srivastava (Founder of Merakii Creations). She addressed the university audience and talked about the importance of women in society. She further explained how we can work towards the women empowerment and financial freedom.

Hon’ble Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Vikram Singh encouraged the Students and addressed various social, political, Cultural, Educational achievements of the women’s and appreciated the youth for being aware in respect of Women’s. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Uma Bhardwaj shared her views towards Women’s participation in various sectors of the society. She Encouraged women’s and men’s for taking stand for themselves. In this Row Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Parsanjeet Kumar and Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Jayanand also shared their Views. Several cultural programs were also performed by University students like Classical Dance, Flute performance, Discussion on women empowerment, Poetry, Singing, Group dance, nukkad natak and more. In Discussion on Women empowerment program, various students pitched new ideas for Betterment of Women’s in different fields on different platforms.
The event was successfully completed by vote of thanks by Ms. Ruchika Sinha.
